Where there are religious, there is joy! Pope Francis

In the letter to the consecrated, Pope Francis shares his conviction with us: “Where there are religious, there is joy! ". And he continues: When I look at consecrated life, the first image that comes to me is that of a gift that the Trinity gives to the world. This gift is updated at each period of history, according to reality, context, culture, events... What changes is "the packaging", but "inside" it is always God's plan of unconditional and merciful love for all.

“By calling you, God says to you:
'You are important to me, I love you, I'm counting on you'.
Jesus says this to each of us! This is where joy comes from!
The joy of the moment when Jesus looked at me.
Understanding and feeling this is the secret of our joy.
To feel loved by God, to feel that for Him we are not numbers
but people; and to feel that it is He who calls us”.
(Pope Francis)

It is a call to consecrated persons to live like Jesus and to collaborate with Him in bringing about the Kingdom of justice, peace and integrity of creation. Today we share the testimony of our novices from Brazil and Portugal

Ana Lucia - Brazil

Consecrated life is a choice made by the person for Jesus Christ,
living the experience of intimate and total abandonment
to the free love of God in fraternal life where Christ becomes brother,
entrusting to him everything: my present and my future in his hands.

Filomena Rocha: For me, consecrated life is a free
and total leap towards the hands of God,
an abandon of myself for the construction of His Kingdom.

Ilma Santos: For me, consecrated life is a total abandon of myself to God,
who helps me to come out of myself and let Him do His will in me.
