Still in the spirit of Easter, the sisters of the Region of France gathered in an extraordinary Regional Assembly, in an atmosphere of prayer, listening, dialogue, communion, formation and openness to the will of God.

Still in the spirit of Easter, the sisters of the Region of France gathered in an extraordinary Regional Assembly, in an atmosphere of prayer, listening, dialogue, communion, formation and openness to the will of God.

Sister Alcina, in her opening words, invited the Region of France to remember, to look at the present and to leave the future in hope and be open to whatever challenges we meet". And, here is a sign: among us, there are new members, new sisters, young sisters from Madagascar who have decided to be part of this Region, aware that we are "all members of the same body who help each other and come alive” (Mother Louise, letter of June 1854) and, that “between us circulates the same spiritual life, the same vital momentum. » (Const. 18§2)

Father André KANKU enriched the reflection with the theme of mutual obedience, saying that religious obedience is a noble evangelical advice. Indeed, obedience, so dear to Saint Francis of Assisi, helps us to deepen the dynamics of the Paschal Mystery, within obedience in our lives.

At the end of the assembly, all the sisters were invited to welcome the sisters whom the Holy Spirit and the sisters themselves have designated to carry out the mission of animators of the Region of Notre-Dame de l'Alliance during four years and we pray for them:

  • Sister Marie Agnès Aubry                              Regional Minister
  • Sister Margueritte Marie LEBLON                Regional Assistante
  • Sister Marie Agnès DELEEST                        Regional Councilor
  • Sister Jeannine RASOAMARO                      Regional Councilor
