A time of grace - Madagascar
In this Jubilee year, this September, the Notre Dame du Mont Carmel Region experienced a time of grace with the celebration of the 25-year Jubilee of Religious Life of Sister Noëline, Sister Juliette, and Sister Emma, and the perpetual profession of Sister Georgette, as well as the entry of young people into the novitiate and postulancy.
We give thanks to God for all the wonders He grants us each day and for the young people He gives us.
25-YEAR JUBILEE OF RELIGIOUS LIFE
- Sister Noeline: "Let my mouth sing praises to the Lord and praise his most holy name forevermore." Ps 145:21. Throughout these years, it is the grace of God that has accompanied and sustained me. Life is always full of trials, but the Lord is always there on our paths: religious life is a paschal mystery; we must pass through Good Friday to experience Easter with Christ. I love to sing, and it has also helped me persevere in religious life.
- Sister Juliette: "God is Love" 1 John 4:8b. I was raised Christian since childhood, and this awakened in me the desire to dedicate myself to the Lord. For 25 years in the Congregation, I have tried to live this Word of God that I have chosen. On my journey, I feel within me that the Lord's love gives me life and the strength to fulfill my mission.
- Sister Emma: "My soul magnifies the Lord, for He has done wonderful things for me" Luke 1:46-49. The Canticle of the Virgin Mary has helped me in my mission during these 25 years. For me, those who obey and know how to obey never take the wrong path. The Virgin Mary has a special place in my life; I am sometimes even called Our Lady of the Road.
PERPETUAL PROFESSION
- Sister Georgette: "For I know in whom I have put my trust" (2 Tim 1:12b). This word helps me on my journey; it
gives me strength. I know that the Lord walks with me no matter what. I am ready to give myself totally to the Lord, to dedicate my life to Him in the Institute. I thank the Lord for all the graces He has granted me, and I thank all the sisters who have helped me on my journey. Thank you, my sisters!
ENTRIES INTO THE NOVITIATE AND POSTULATE
- Three young postulants have entered the novitiate. They are very enthusiastic about moving forward in religious life by beginning the novitiate stage in our Institute and three young aspirants have entered the postulancy. They trust in the Lord and count on his grace to respond to his Call following the example of Saint Francis of Assisi and the Virgin Mary who said YES.
The Our Lady of Mount Carmel Region is gradually moving forward on a path of hope.
