Fraternal Assembly - France

The Region of Notre Dame de l'Alliance - France

Called to be women of communion, how to be attentive to welcome and experience cultural and other diversities

The Fraternal Assembly of the Region of Notre Dame de l'Alliance - France, took place in Arras from Friday July 30 to Monday August 2, 2021.

The expression "Fraternal Assembly" refers to chapter 18 of the Flowers of Saint Francis of Assisi, which is entitled: "of the wonderful chapter that Saint Francis held in Saint Mary of the Angels where there were more than five thousand brothers".

The Regional Minister, Sister Yvette, in these words of welcome, underlined: “We want to make this Assembly indeed, a fraternal Assembly in research and reflection with one another, with attention to one another´s. She recalled the purpose of the Fraternal Assembly: "to reflect on the spiritual and missionary journey of the region, to strengthen fraternal bonds and to initiate future projects " (Cf. Constitutions, Nº 100 §3).

With the theme: “Called to be women of communion, how to be attentive in order to welcome and experience cultural and other diversities?”, the sisters reflected on and shared these intercultural experiences.

This fraternal meeting ended with the Jubilee of 50 years of the sisters: Ivette Briquet, Regional; Margueritte Leblon, Regional Councilor; and Brigitte Des Halles, ancient Minister General.
