Empowerment of the Spirit !

On the 9th of April, the Region of Our Lady of Perpetual Help - USA had the joy to welcome the visit of Sister Olga Trevisanut, Minister General of the Congregation. This was a moment of thanksgiving for all the sisters, reunited in a Regional Assembly and motivated by the theme: “empowerment of the spirit”.

On the 13th, under the orientation of the Holy Spirit, in a climate of discernment and prayer, marked the Word of the day, who Jesus says: “...I will celebrate the Easter in your house...” (Mt 26,18) and, in a simple gesture, he shares bread and drinks from the same cup with his disciples. In this Holy Week ambience, we are called to participate in the experience of service, suffering, death to reach the Resurrection. In this spirit, Sister Olga nominates the new Regional Council:

Sister Martha Ann Abshire, First Regional Councilor
Sister Helen Cahill, Second Regional Councilor

Invoking the protection of the Virgin Mary, Saint Joseph, Saint Francis of Assisi, and Saint Clare, we ask God to grant the new Council: force, wisdom, joy, peace, and blessing, as well as the spirit of union and collaboration of all sisters of the Region and communion with all the FMNS scattered all over the world.
