FEAST OF ST. FRANCIS OF ASSISI

"Praised be you, my Lord,
through all your creatures."

let us be "witnesses and artisans of unity and communion" (Const. §2)

Peace and Good!

Once again, we have the grace to joyfully celebrate the feast of our Father Saint Francis, marked by the 800th anniversary of the "Canticle of the Creatures."

From our hearts spring sentiments of praise and thanksgiving for the gift of "our charism," rooted in Franciscan spirituality and founded on the experience of God lived by Saint Francis of Assisi: GOD "TRINE AND ONE." (Const. 2, §1)

Like the herald of the great King, let us allow ourselves to be touched by the tenderness of God, author of creation, of universal brotherhood, of integral ecology... and, with a deeply missionary soul, like his, let us be "witnesses and artisans of unity and communion" (Const. §2), prophets of respect for human dignity, social justice, and the common good, toward "a new heaven and a new earth." (Cf. Rev 21:1)

"May we thus become, with Francis of Assisi, builders of reconciliation and hope for our time, awakening in our hearts the capacity for wonder, gratitude, and care for our common home." »
