Prayer for the General Chapter XXXIII FMOL

The same Spirit that seduced our founders speaks to us today. 
We go to start to invoke Him with this prayer, making room for Him in our hearts.

Come HOLY SPIRIT, wind, fire,
blow on us like a breeze, on each of us
surround us with your creative force,
renew us and set us free in your smile…  

Give us a spark of your fire
and let it burn our soul...
Your love constantly recreates us
and surprises us...
Give us the grace of a new Pentecost.

Franciscan Missionaries of Our Lady,
Gathered at the next General Chapter,
We feel, Deep in our hearts,
called to a life consecrated to the service of life…
Convinced that under your action,

O Holy Spirit,
“Our whole life becomes mission..." (Const.8)
Teach us to discover ourselves
and to love ourselves, min our different gifts and cultures.

Source of love, give us the grace
to be bridges of communion and unity...
Help us cultivate and care for life...
Confident in your action of love, we say to you:
Grant us these gifts: Communion, Participation, Mission,
in the church's synodal path so that “all may be one"... (Jn 17:21)
