Easter message

“… descended from the mountain carrying the image of the crucified reproduced in his own flesh by the finger of the living God.” (Cf. Legenda minor 6,4)

The Lord is alive

This year, in particular, we are invited to watch St. Francis of Assisi, when in 1224, forty days of solitude at Mount Alverne, immersed in a deep prayer and spirit of contemplation he allowed himself to be transfigured by Love: “… descended from the mountain carrying the image of the crucified reproduced in his own flesh by the finger of the living God.” (Cf. Legenda minor 6,4)

Only love has this transformative force capable of snatching us from the ‘night’ from the light and making us credible witnesses of the Resurrection like the women of the “early morning’ who ‘had followed Jesus from Galilee, to serve Him.” (Mt 27,55)

Only love, made visible by words, attitudes, gestures and signs allows us to believe that ‘brotherhood is rooted in the Risen Christ, a bond of unity among those who come together in his name.” (Cf. Const.18, §1)

In this fabric of relationships that we continue to weave as a Congregation, it is the Spirit Saint who pushes us, from the depths of ourselves, to leave our inner security without fear and to proclaim: His is alive in me, in you, in us! Not because we are exempt from the cross, vulnerability, suffering, trials … but because the meeting with the Risen One revitalizes our commitment to love and serve, to build the future with renewed motivation.

To all of you, we wish a holy and happy Easter!
