Feast of S. Francis

…and it was your Easter...800 years ago...and there was no longer any crack ...
life and death became sisters to praise the One who created everything...
because there are no limits to Love...that embraces everything...
turning what is bitter into sweetness... the end into fullness...

Francis ...of Assisi...
from that place that saw you grow and transcend...
that witnessed your renunciation...the repairing of that little church...
that was witness to your friends who wanted to join you...
that contemplated Clare feeling inspired by seeing your live...
and Friar Jacoba, so close!... and so faithful in the following...

Assisi ...witnessed so much gift ...¡so much!...
that everything remained imbued, even to this day, with the Gospel lived in our own way...

"Praised be You, my Lord, through our sister's bodily death
from whom no living man can escape"...
Praised be you! ...it was your song...
it was the synthesis of your experience of God
whom you loved with simplicity and gratuity...
from the earth of your being which, when time fell silent,
gave way to the Light that has no end...
 

Let us bless the Lord, let us give Him thanks, let us serve Him with great humility,
because He, as in Francis, wants to work wonders in us...
